I love your site, I was all over it for about 4 months before I finally decided how to dye my hair! I was inspired by this idea from your site originally. I posted about it here: http://amazongenkigirl.wordpress.com/2012/07/24/hair-did-5050-like-chocoflan/ and my wordpress site is Amazon Genki Girl.

I went to an Aveda salon, since my friend is a hair stylist. He parted my hair straight down the middle and clipped half to the side like a ponytail (the dark color is my natural color). The other half was lifted from my natural level 2 color hair to a level 8 using 40 developer (no bleach!) We left it in for a good 90+ minutes. I decided to go for the caramel brown for low maintenance and least costly (one-step color). As it grows out, I will just switch part to the side instead of the middle to hide my roots!
