Deceptive Red Hair

I am NOT a stylist, just an avid do-it-yourselfer… I’ve been a red head most of my life in shades of orange and copper. I decided to go with something a bit darker. Believe it or not, I used L’Oreal Couler Experte. Shade 3.5 Chocolate Mousse. It was my first time using any kind of highlighter, but I went after it with a devil may care attitude and it paid off! The entire process took several hours and several applications of color and highlighter. I have thick hair and used two boxes. I call it deceptive because there are so many levels. In direct sunlight it glows in the same shade of red. In the shade it is darker, but the orange streaks still glow. Indoors it is very dramatic, with my bangs almost black, and the orange streaks REALLY stand out. And because it isn’t as harsh as other colors, my hair wasn’t damaged at all.
