I live and breathe color as it is my career. My top choice would be special effects it is plant based so it will condition your hair as well as really penetrate your every inch of your hair pretty much evenly from root to end. BUT the key to getting it to stay is to repeat your color every 2 weeks till it stays almost as if it were permanent. i redo my color every 6 to 8 weeks now just as if it were a normal color. my 2nd choice would be provana chromasilk vivids (no offense to anyone else who is giving info on this color line but i must correct you.... chromasilk vivds, as opposed to chromasilk hair color, is an AMONIA FREE color line) both special effects and vivids mix very well together! i suggest going under heat for 20 minutes and letting it cool down for 10 minutes. you can also leave these colors in for 2 hours or over night. definitely helps. the long the better. AND dont be dumb and think im saying to leave bleach in your hair that long. bad idea lol...
Over on tumblr melisscellaneous.tumblr.com asked:
Do you or any of your followers know of a good brand for either dark green or dark blue? Manic Panic washes right out of my hair (no matter how light I bleach it), and I’m willing to order colors offline if that’s helpful info at all
And here are some answers:
mellys-world said: My boyfriend use Ice Cream Blue! It’s dark and really blue ahaha! It lasts about 2 months if you wash it twice a week

lavenderlush said: Elumen, its a great semi-permanent hair dye without ammonia, so its not as damaging to your hair, I find it last more than 3 months at a vibrant shade. It has green and blue.kpss-globe.com/index.p…
moonchild said: SFX Blue Velvet is a beautiful inky blue that stays blue for a LONG time. After a month I had to force-fade it and then it went through shades of purple and ultimately lavender. One of the most gorgeous colours I’ve ever been.
