Nola Wren, artist/singer-songwriter, 22. I went platinum white blonde a few months ago, but my hair got so fried that I had to cut it all off and start fresh. To get back to my natural dark brown, I first used a red permanent hair dye as a protein filler substitute. If you put brown dye on top of bleached hair, it’ll probably turn super ashy or gray. The red dye acts as a good base color in this case. After using Revlon Colorsilk #42 Medium Auburn, I dried my hair and applied Colorsilk #47 Medium Rich Brown. After two weeks I decided to go a bit darker and used Colorsilk #33 Dark Soft Brown. And there ya go!
